I grew up in Massachusetts. I attended UMass Amherst, until I knew being interested in Political Science was just interesting, not my passion.
I decided to attend a small, but truly amazing photography school, New England School of Photography.
I was so home, for the first time, I felt and knew I was with my people. I feel in love with everything. I really enjoyed using my macro lens. My graduating project was close up shots of fruit and vegetables, that became other worlds. I was really proud of them.
I didn't know what direction I wanted to go. I assisted commercial photographers, which was fun. I would photograph my friends who wanted to become models. At one point I rented a co-op gallery space, and was wondering what to fill it with. I knew someone in Africa, and traveled there for a short while. The photos I took where portraits.

I still wasn't really sure what I wanted to photograph. I was always shooting, and experimenting.
When I became pregnant, my partner and I moved to a farm in northern California. It was a magical place to be transforming into a mother. I had very nurturing midwives, they were a huge support in my transition.
When I had my daughter Maya, I was totally blown away by the experience. I thought quickly about midwifery, and being a doula, but I knew I had to photograph, so I put those two together.

I am currently attending PNCA where I am learning about my love of art.

I am involved with the community supported Cafe Au Play.
They have a lovely farmers market in the summer, plenty of community events, and a great play room for kids.

This a great Community Supported Farm. They are farming biodynamically, which is very cool.
