Maternity Photography is why I started in the Studio to begin with. When I was first inspired by my birth, and realized that the marriage of my two loves together made perfect sense. I wanted to be able to have women see themselves as powerful, beautiful beings, that are chosen wisely for this task. Being able to feel beautiful, during this time is important. Women who feel beautiful are more in their own power. And birth is not only about bringing a child into the world, but a huge transformation within. 

Birth is an intimidating experience. You face your greatest fears in the unknown. It is a portal that cannot be avoided. So we brace ourselves, educated ourselves, and then we courageously fight the good fight, and it is so worth it. 

The best part about photographing maternity, is that it is such a delicate space. So many emotions are going on at this moment. The intensity of it makes this moment so real. The most inspiring, is that lovely nurturing feeling is at such a heightened state. It is a joy to be around. Mothers, and fathers are raising our world. This is an important task, to be celebrated, and commemorated.
